- Great news for yours truly, Bill Melody. The "First Lady of Rock-A-Billy," and a Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame Member Wanda Jackson, will be a special guest on my "Country Music Hall" show on WBCB-AM 1490 and at www.wbcb1490.com, on Sunday, July 12. This magnificant lady of music, who was an early-on country music icon back in the early '60s, will be appearing the following Saturday, July 18 at the Record Collector on Farnsworth Avenue in Bordentown, N.J. Tickets are on sale now. Call 609-324-0880; the doors open at 7:30 p.m. A second show with Ms. Jackson has been added for 10 p.m. Tickets are still available for the second show. I had the opportunity to see Wanda Jackson perform on several occasions at both the former Rac's Hut that was located in Jackson, N.J. and, of course at the old Frontier Room at the White Horse Bowling Academy. Believe me, you will not want to miss seeing this great lady perform. www.The-Record-Collector.com I have been asked by the show's producer Randy Now, to introduce Ms. Jackson at the show. Stay tuned. It's another one of Randy Now's solid shows which he produces every weekend at the famed Bordentown record shop. You can catch Randy's every Wednesday evening Capital Garage Show on WTSR-FM 91.3 broadcasting live from the College of New Jersey.....
